Thank you to everyone
who came out to see us last night! It was definitely the best
show and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of
you! It was also great to share the stage with great bands.
So we also
want to
thank: Mass Infusion, Route 111, Bray, Heathrow, and the Look.
Great times! Hope to see you all again soon.

School's out! We'll at least the kids were out of class when we visited
Forest Park Elementary and UC Berkeley, to perform this past

We had a
great time meeting new people and helping support their efforts.
Special thanks to the Forest Park, Spintronix, and PAA for making
it all happen.

busy learning new material and reworking older songs. The first show of the year

the corner. Expect to start hearing a few new songs and new versions of some
older one's at these shows.

Bento would like to wish everyone a happy new year. We hope all of
you are healthy and wish you the best in 2006. The guys have been
busy preparing for 2006. They spent last weekend locked away in a
cabin
in Tahoe. The purpose of this trip was to get some snowboarding in
and work on new songs for their second album, due out this June.
They are very excited about this year and can’t wait to share

Bento Back in the Bay - DNA
The guys had a great time touring with True Faith – a great
bunch of guys. From LA to New York it was truly some of the best experiences
and memories. Playing back-to-back nights, in venues with amazing sound
and lighting, really spoiled everyone. Thanks to True Faith, Edwin
and Edgar for letting Bento tag along as the opening act. The guys
are now back in the Bay and are excited to be playing DNA for a second
time as a one-year birthday show. This will take place on November
19th. This is again in conjunction with Element Productions. Their
new three-song EP and T-shirts will be available for the first time!

them this opportunity and privilege.

Bento begins work on EP
Many of you have asked if certain songs we play at our shows are
on our debut album "Absent Without Leave." Well, since
a lot of our new songs can't be found on our album, we've decided
to spend
some time in the studio. This past weekend was spent at Studio
880 in Oakland. We recorded
3 new songs: “Going
Places, Last Chance, and False Start.” Jamie
also took a shot at singing backing vocals for "Last Chance." Let's
just say that he'll be sticking to the drums from now on. Look for the EP later
in 2005.

CAPA Festival, New York
Happy Mother's Day! Bento would like to dedicate this trip to all
moms and especially their moms. This is the 26th annual CAPA Festival.
Bento rocked out at Union Square
Park infront of 2000+ New Yorkers. Though Jamie's cymbal blew over
during the set, and he couldn't hear a thing, he still managed to snap
this shot of Scott's behind.
Local bands, Johnny
Hi-fi and Maggie
Kim were
also on the bill. Jet Li and Morgan Freeman paid a visit to the festival
after
we performed. Scott got a pic with Morgan
(well sort of). We had our 2nd radio interview and performed a
2 song acoustic set at iaTV headquarters. Thanks to iaTV for
showing us around the office and playing us on their show. Thank you
New York! You're the best!

What a perfect way to end the weekend. It was a nice warm and breezy afternoon
in Japantown. We were supported by our community, especially our families. Props
go to Kenney, Wayne, Mike and the Cherry Blossom sound crew. The sound was awesome!
Also, it was a shock to actually have roadies! We can’t wait to perform
again at next year’s Cherry Blossom.

us. Despite the heat, we had a great time hanging out and performing
for the huge Davis crowd. We enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to return

Moscone Center, SF
We played an acoustic set at the Imaginasian TV booth. This was held at the Moscone
Center for the NCTA, which stands for National Cable Television Association.
This was a huge convention featuring every channel you have ever watched on cable
TV and then some. We were a day late, and missed Cyndi Lauper performing and
riding in on a horse, MTV giving away free iPods, and meeting Tony Hawk. Despite
this, at least we were able to meet and hang out with more of the IATV staff.
We had a blast! Unfortunately we couldn’t get any free cable channels.
April 3, 2005
KSQQ radio 96.1 , SJ
Simran, the lovely host of Imaginasian Radio, got up close and personal
with the guys. The 20 minute live broadcast was a lot of fun.
We had a few laughs in the studio with host Simran and performed
a 2 song acoustic set of "Point of no Return and a new song, "Last
Chance."

The showcase was a blast. We were able to meet lots of great industry
professionals and Elvin was even invited to speak on the producer panel.

Print the CD Please
At last, the moment of truth! Bento met last night for their final press
check of all the artwork and the final CD. It is now out of their hands
and off to the manufacturing plant. There was a sense of relief that
filled the air, as no more tweaking, edits or changes can be made. Ang
was pulling his hair out for the last two weeks because of all the changes
he had to make. He was on call 24/7 for any last minute artwork changes.
All of the hard work put into the last two years will finally materialize
into 37 minutes of music. The CD will be available on October 25, 2004!

Meet With Biker Bob
Elvin and Scott went up to Bob’s studio in Oakland to transfer
all the final mixes to analogue tape. Bob, who used to be a pro BMX-er
is going to master the songs and make them all the same level, then
Elvin will clean them up if needed. Sorry for not having a picture of
Bob’s amazing analogue studio. It looked totally cool, just like
the control panel of the Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser, from Star
Wars. The lead singer of Green Day, Billy Joe was confirmed to have
used the facility a few times. What a thrill this was to be in the same
control room as Billy’s genius once sat. In the mean time, Bento
is meeting and coming up with the album cover ideas and the rest of
the artwork. They are very excited to be on the last leg of this “do
it yourself” music endeavor. A graphic designer from Singapore
is working with them, a.k.a. Flu Girl, along with Ang. She will help
with some of her outside ideas, and then Ang can tweak them to our liking.

Okay Computer Mix
Well, the mixes are finally done! Bento all met last night at Elvin's
to listen to the final mixes, discuss how the artwork should be, figure
out the rehearsal schedule, and try to figure out a record label name.
They were quite the task masters. They also had the luxury of having
their youngest fan present. Click

were to her liking. Bento will start rehearsals mid September in Daily
City. Check back for up coming shows and for the latest news.

Bento Meets for Listening Party
Everyone had a great time last night listening to the mixes that Elvin
and Scott have been working on for the past year. Jamie had never heard
all the songs yet, so it was great to have a fresh set of ears. Lots
of notes and discussion occurred regarding how to change different parts
of songs. Click here
if you want to see some of the scribbling. Everyone was in great spirits
and excited! Elvin and Scott will continue to work on the songs and
hope to have them all ready for next Thursday. Bento will meet once
again to go over,
what they hope will be, the final versions for the album!

"Won't Hurt" This hurts...
7:20 P.M. Scott writes: We've been trying to find the right keyboard
sound for two days and we just found it! Yes! Yes! Elvin is going to
make me a copy to take home and verify. I'll check it tomorrow to make
sure it is finally done. We've been working since Tuesday on this one,
but haven't touched it since February. Completion is near! Have to go
now, "Know it's not too Late" vocal parts need to be redone...we
accidentally lost the files! Technology is beautiful or a headache.
Hopefully we can have everyone over for a final listening party this
week. But given that it has taken us almost two years to complete the
album...we'll have to see. I'll keep you posted.

of songs. The working title for the album is "Absent Without Leave."
All final mixes will be complete by mid August, so look for a release
